I am Melissa!

I am a working mother, wife, nature lover, barre enthusiast, and the creator of Busy Mom Village. I am also a former teacher turned instructional designer.

On my free time, I love visiting new places with my husband and daughter where we can have valuable experiences and simply enjoy our time together. I also enjoy traveling; it sparks excitement and curiosity in my adventurous soul. I am a believer that when you learn about new cultures and traditions and see the beauty of nature around the world, you enrich your life. Material things only provide temporary joy.

One word that describes me is PASSIONATE. I have many personal goals that I work hard to accomplish while trying to live life to the fullest with the people I love. Please do not think I have a perfect life because that is far from reality. I am a normal exhausted working mom trying to survive on a weekly basis. Want to be friends?

My biggest treasure is my daughter, and she is the reason I cannot give up on my goals. I want my daughter to DREAM big, take action, and most importantly, not let negative people dim her light. That is what I want for you too.

After becoming a mother, my priorities and views on life completely changed. I was extremely blessed with the daughter I had always dreamed of, but life started to get very busy and felt more challenging than before.

While staying at home and working part-time for approximately 3 years, I started missing on the things I used to love doing and felt that I was losing my identity. I became overwhelmed and did not know what to do or where to start. I wanted to feel new purpose in life. I wanted to feel alive again.

I decided to embark on a journey of self-reflection, goal setting, and action-taking. I started to make small changes that transformed my life and opened the door to new and exciting possibilities and opportunities.

My Purpose

I created Busy Mom Village for you, the busy mom that feels alone, afraid, tired, and in need of support. It took years for my idea to become reality because being a working mom is challenging and you feel like you're riding a rollercoaster every week of ups and downs. I imagine you can relate.

Busy Mom Village is a safe space where you can feel identified and where you can learn to love yourself and believe in yourself. This is also a place where you can start dreaming, get organized, learn to take action to accomplish new goals while enjoying the blessings of being a mother.
